From the Barrel is crafted from more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whisky, centred around malt whiskies from Nikka's renowned Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, together with the company's signature Coffey Grain Whisky. After blending, the whisky is returned to oak casks for a secondary maturation—or marriage—allowing its many components to integrate into a beautifully balanced whole. For this anniversary release, Nikka has doubled the marriage period, allowing the whisky to mature in cask for up to six months after blending.
